Fasting Timer privacy policy.

The Fasting Timer extension collects nothing. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything you enter stays on your own device.

What we collect.

Nothing. The extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. It makes no network requests and contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking code.

It requests no host permissions, so it cannot read the pages you visit or your browsing history.

What is stored on your device.

Saved with the browser’s local storage API (chrome.storage.local). It never leaves your computer and is removed if you uninstall the extension or clear its data.

  • ·Your selected fasting protocol (e.g. 16:8) or custom fast/eat hours.
  • ·The start time of your current fast, if one is running.
  • ·Your fasting history (start/end times and whether you met the goal) used for streaks.
  • ·Your display and stage-alert preferences.

Permissions, and why.

storage

Saves your timer state, chosen protocol, fasting history, and settings locally on your device so they persist between sessions.

alarms

Updates the toolbar countdown badge and triggers end-of-fast alerts at the right time, even when the popup is closed.

notifications

Shows the “fast complete”, “eating window closing”, and optional metabolic-stage alerts.

Changes to this policy.

If the extension ever changes how it handles data, this page will be updated and the effective date above revised before the change ships.
